富士山を見ると、なぜかわくわくします。この写真は、南側から見て十分満足した後、北側からも見ることができたサプライズでさらにうれしくなり撮ったものです。先日新聞記事に「冬の富士山は美しい」とありましたが、ほんとにそうですね。

I am always excited to see Mt. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan．This picture was taken from north side when I unexpectedly saw it for the second time on the same flight.　　I was already satisfied when I saw it once from the south side. I just saw the newspaper articule that says Mt.Fuji looks its best during winter time, and I really think so.

１２月に入り、今年も残すところあと一ひと月となりました。もうしばらくは紅葉を楽しむことができそうですね。この写真は夜ライトアップされた紅葉です。昼間とはまた違った色をみせてくれました。

Only one month left for this year! It seems we can still enjoy autum leaves turning red and yellow. Took this picture at night while the leave are being lit up. I enjoy different colors at night vs. daytime. Appreciating special moments.

友人からのリクエストで以前カフェニュートラルさん主催のカメラカフェ（http://mimim.ko-co.jp/e81326.html）で行った鉄人２８号を見に行きました。日付を見るとなんと２年半ぶり。写真を見直してみて、自分の撮り方が当時と変わっているのに気が付きました。平和を守るため活躍したという鉄人が「がんばるぞ～！」と言っているように見えました。

Per my friend's request, I revisited Gigantor momument... I realized 2.5+years have passed since the last visit for Camera Caffe event sponsored by Caffe NEUTRAL（http://mimim.ko-co.jp/e81326.html）. I also reazlied that the way I took photo has changed since then.
Based on wiki, the Gigantor has fought for peace, and this picture makes me feel that he is saying 'Yes we can!'

梅雨続きますが、まだしばらくアジサイを楽しむことができそうで、うれしいです。私の好きなガクアジサイ、携帯で撮ってみました。

While the rainy season continues, I can appreciate hydrangea for a while. Hydrangea is　one of my favorite　flowers, and I like this type the best. I took this picture by mobile phone. Not bad　；－）  

飛行機に乗ると、やっぱり景色が楽しめる窓際の席に座りたい、と思います。真っ青な空、そして上にも下にも雲があるこの景色って飛行機に乗っているからこそ見られる景色！

I tend to choose the window side seats on the plane, as I can enjoy nice view. The picture shows my favorite scene, which I only can see on the plane - with deep blue sky sandwiched by clouds!

I found this scene while taking a walk in a small fisherman's village. 　I enjoyed looking at them from different angles, as I liked the way fish lined up. My father who was with me then asked me how I thought of the way he took his pictures.... I found amost the same picture on the screen. DNA?
Can you smell the sea from this picture?

この写真を撮った時、「袖振り合うも多生の縁」ということわざを思い出しました。人との出会いは大事だなぁ思うことが最近よくありました。

When I took this picture, I thought of the proverb,　'Even a chance acquaintance is decreed by destiny'. There have been several occasion that reminded me of importance of meeting people, and I appreciate these opportunities.

先日ドライブ中に見た景色。前回行ったときは曇りだったのですが、今回はまぶしい太陽のもと美しい青い海を見ることができました。ここは沖縄かと思うようなブルーの海に感動でした。

I took this picture when we went driving the other day. It was cloudy last time we went there, but this time is very different under the sun ;-) The color of the sea is so beautiful as if I was in Okinawa!

昨日は満月。まんまるお月様の美しさにしばらくみとれていました。満月パワーのお陰なのか、この日はしばらく会っていなかった方と思いがけず出会う、ということが何度か起こりました。

Last night, I enjoyed wathiching full moon, which was so beautiful.　I wonder if this is thanks to full moon power・・I met several people whom I have not seen for a while. What a coincidence!

Adeyacco Underwater Photo Exhibition was closed. Thank you for coming over to the exhibition. よく雨が降った一日でしたね。この写真は暗くなる前に飛行機内から撮りました。空の色とライトが私の心をとらえました。雨でも楽しめるシーンはあるものですね。

It rained so much today that warming announcement was made. I took this picture in the plane just before sunset. The color of the air lights caught me....Even on depressive rainy days, these scene make me enjoy the moment.

新芽の香りを感じる頃となりました。街のあちこちでつつじの花を見かけますね。おやつを持って出かけた庭園では、いろんな色のつつじが帯のようになっていました。

23日(日曜日)はいつもお世話になっているカフェニュートラル主催のカメラカフェをします。ポートアイランドの花鳥園で、お花と鳥たちを撮ります。

I started to smell newly-grown leaves every morning. To me, this is the smell of May. I see azalea almost at every corner in　the past few weeks. This is a picture taken in the Japanese garden where we went taking snacks along. Different tones of azalea color was so impressive!　I felt at piece, looking at these.

先週末、9－11日はえびす祭。全国3500あるえびす神社の総社、西宮えびす神社には「鯛みくじ」がありました。鯛がおみくじを持っています。かわいいので思わず購入♪
最終日午前中に行った人によるともう売り切れ。かなりの人気だったのかもしれませんね。新聞によると3日間で107万人の人出だったとか。

Ebisu Shrine Festival was held last weekend for 3 days. Nishinomiya Shrine is said to be the headquarter among 3500 Ebisu Shrine in Japan. We went there and found interesting fortune slip - held by red snapper :-) Isn't it cute? We bought one of each to check our fortunes. I was told it was out of stock in the morning of the last day. It must be popular! Based on the newspaper, 1,070,000people visited the Nishinomiya Shrine during that period. WOW!

Speaking of special, January 1st was full moon day! I was able to enjoy seeing Tokyo Tower with full moom behind it, though it is not in the picture....the moon was way too high!

またまたサンセットの写真です。秋の雲は昼間でもよく眺めたくなりますが、サンセットとのコラボも素敵です。この写真を撮った時は一時間ほど空の変化を眺めていました。
Here I am uploading sunset photo again. I love looking at clouds especially in autumn, as its shape is so interesting. I also like to see clouds during sunset. When I took this pitcure, I was looking at sunset for over an hour in a nice cool weather.

急に寒くなり、冬が近づいた感がありますね。先日見た秋桜は元気に咲いていました。いろんな角度から眺めていたらそこからなかなか離れられませんでした！スペインマドリッドの植物園に送られた時にコスモスと名づけられたそうです。

It got very cold...winter is around the corner. I saw cosmos the other day, which was at full bloom. I enjoyed looking at it from top, bottom, side....all around the corner。As such, I could not leave the　cosmos field. I just learnt that cosmos was named when it was presented to botanical garden in Madrid, Spain. In Japanese, it is literally written as `fall cherry blossom`.

飛行機に乗るのは、「匂いが違う場所」にいけるというわくわく感♪があって楽しい。　この時窓から見える空はブル－がまぶしかったです。さらに、遠くにはうっすら月が・・・見えますか??

I like airplanes, as it take me to places which have different 'smell of the place' just in couple of hours. 　When I took this picture, sky was so blue, and there was moon at distance. Can you see it??

冬に戻ったかの様な寒さ。でも午後からはあったかくなってよかった！
That was a very cold day especially in the morning.　I felt winter is back again! Though it turned to be a shiny afternoon:-)

デジタルカメラのいろんなモードについて、どんな時に、どういう風に使うかの説明を、2時間ほどお散歩しながらやりました。帰ってきてからはワインを飲みながら披露会。各自が選んだ一枚はもう少ししたらカフェニュートラルのHPにアップされます!
I shared tips on how and when to use different 'modes' of digital camera, while we took a walk for 2 hours! Coming back, we shared pictures over wine. Best shot of each one will be uploaded to Caffe NEUTRAL HP sooner or later. Check it out :-)

私もコンパクトデジカメを使って撮ってみた。なんだか双葉に見えたこのミラー。
Usually I use SLR, but I also tried compact digital camera this time. I took this picture as the mirrors looked like young leaves.

江戸時代からの古い町並み。ここは竹とお酒の町。こんな壁や、格子戸がいい雰囲気を出してます。
昔はどんな人たちが行きかっていたんだろう?　　どんな音がしたんだろう？
I went to an old street which already existed in Edo Era. This street is located in the town which is famous for bamboo and Sake (Japanese wine). I like the 'smell of the place' with old walls and windows made of wood.
Imagined what kind of people were walking on this street or what kind of sound were heard in Edo Era.....



  

「日本にもいい景色があるから、是非撮ってください」と写真展に来てくださった何人かの方から言われました。撮るには撮っています・・・京都にいた頃もたくさん撮ったし(残念ながら一眼レフではない・・・）、奈良も好き。
これは奈良の春日大社。色と連続したパターンに惹かれました。

Several people who came to see my exhibition told me,'Take pictures in Japan, as there are so may good places'.
I do take photos in Japan, and I do like to go to historical places like Kyoto and Nara. I took a lot of pictures when I was living in Kyoto, but not with SLR :-( This is one from Kasuga Shrine　in Nara. I liked the color　and the continuous patterns　：－）
