先週末、9－11日はえびす祭。全国3500あるえびす神社の総社、西宮えびす神社には「鯛みくじ」がありました。鯛がおみくじを持っています。かわいいので思わず購入♪
最終日午前中に行った人によるともう売り切れ。かなりの人気だったのかもしれませんね。新聞によると3日間で107万人の人出だったとか。

Ebisu Shrine Festival was held last weekend for 3 days. Nishinomiya Shrine is said to be the headquarter among 3500 Ebisu Shrine in Japan. We went there and found interesting fortune slip - held by red snapper :-) Isn't it cute? We bought one of each to check our fortunes. I was told it was out of stock in the morning of the last day. It must be popular! Based on the newspaper, 1,070,000people visited the Nishinomiya Shrine during that period. WOW!

Speaking of special, January 1st was full moon day! I was able to enjoy seeing Tokyo Tower with full moom behind it, though it is not in the picture....the moon was way too high!

またまたサンセットの写真です。秋の雲は昼間でもよく眺めたくなりますが、サンセットとのコラボも素敵です。この写真を撮った時は一時間ほど空の変化を眺めていました。
Here I am uploading sunset photo again. I love looking at clouds especially in autumn, as its shape is so interesting. I also like to see clouds during sunset. When I took this pitcure, I was looking at sunset for over an hour in a nice cool weather.

急に寒くなり、冬が近づいた感がありますね。先日見た秋桜は元気に咲いていました。いろんな角度から眺めていたらそこからなかなか離れられませんでした！スペインマドリッドの植物園に送られた時にコスモスと名づけられたそうです。

It got very cold...winter is around the corner. I saw cosmos the other day, which was at full bloom. I enjoyed looking at it from top, bottom, side....all around the corner。As such, I could not leave the　cosmos field. I just learnt that cosmos was named when it was presented to botanical garden in Madrid, Spain. In Japanese, it is literally written as `fall cherry blossom`.

飛行機に乗るのは、「匂いが違う場所」にいけるというわくわく感♪があって楽しい。　この時窓から見える空はブル－がまぶしかったです。さらに、遠くにはうっすら月が・・・見えますか??

I like airplanes, as it take me to places which have different 'smell of the place' just in couple of hours. 　When I took this picture, sky was so blue, and there was moon at distance. Can you see it??

冬に戻ったかの様な寒さ。でも午後からはあったかくなってよかった！
That was a very cold day especially in the morning.　I felt winter is back again! Though it turned to be a shiny afternoon:-)

デジタルカメラのいろんなモードについて、どんな時に、どういう風に使うかの説明を、2時間ほどお散歩しながらやりました。帰ってきてからはワインを飲みながら披露会。各自が選んだ一枚はもう少ししたらカフェニュートラルのHPにアップされます!
I shared tips on how and when to use different 'modes' of digital camera, while we took a walk for 2 hours! Coming back, we shared pictures over wine. Best shot of each one will be uploaded to Caffe NEUTRAL HP sooner or later. Check it out :-)

私もコンパクトデジカメを使って撮ってみた。なんだか双葉に見えたこのミラー。
Usually I use SLR, but I also tried compact digital camera this time. I took this picture as the mirrors looked like young leaves.

江戸時代からの古い町並み。ここは竹とお酒の町。こんな壁や、格子戸がいい雰囲気を出してます。
昔はどんな人たちが行きかっていたんだろう?　　どんな音がしたんだろう？
I went to an old street which already existed in Edo Era. This street is located in the town which is famous for bamboo and Sake (Japanese wine). I like the 'smell of the place' with old walls and windows made of wood.
Imagined what kind of people were walking on this street or what kind of sound were heard in Edo Era.....



  

「日本にもいい景色があるから、是非撮ってください」と写真展に来てくださった何人かの方から言われました。撮るには撮っています・・・京都にいた頃もたくさん撮ったし(残念ながら一眼レフではない・・・）、奈良も好き。
これは奈良の春日大社。色と連続したパターンに惹かれました。

Several people who came to see my exhibition told me,'Take pictures in Japan, as there are so may good places'.
I do take photos in Japan, and I do like to go to historical places like Kyoto and Nara. I took a lot of pictures when I was living in Kyoto, but not with SLR :-( This is one from Kasuga Shrine　in Nara. I liked the color　and the continuous patterns　：－）
